I was about to buy a crimping tool for this and thought, hey couldn’t I just use a bench Vice. I don’t have one but been wanting to get one and much more multiple usage out of a bench Vice than a crimping tool.

Thanks for the video! These 5 speed cat-eyes are getting pretty scarce and some of the parts hard to come by. Someone tried stealing mine and broke the steering column housing near the ignition- which is an impossible part to find without the column shifter hole. Ended up buying an OEM master cylinder before I realized it was the pedal assembly that had busted. Non-returnable part that was more expensive than the pedal... but at least I have a backup lol

Thanks for the video I was hoping it was possible to swap without having to disassemble most of dash, previous google searches scared me a little. Mine broke on me today, luckily i had some wire in the truck and made a jumper for the clutch safty so i could start it and float gears to make it home, just haave to wait on parts to come in now since no one locally stocks any clutch related parts for these trucks.

Do you have any suggestions on repairing the tank where all 4 of the tangs that secure the fuel pump in are rusted off other than replacing the whole tank?

This set up unfortunately might only get you 30 hp aint worth it

I just read that the main power should be connected to the battery only it also said never connect ground wire to body ground engine block but preferred b😢😮attery connection.

On a chevy Silverado

So I do have a question... I have an LQ4 that has the flex plate with the spacer. I'm putting it in cat eye Silverado with 4L60e can I just use the flex plate off the 4.8l ?

Any ideas on the noise if grease doesnt help? I have a new pedal assembly with a new bushing cause the old bushing was in pieces. The new pedal and bushing was squeaky so i tried a few different lubes and grease but no luck and then I replaced the master cylinder but it's still obnoxiously squeaky. The only thing i can think is that it's the new pedal itself. Any other thoughts or ideas?
